I’m not normally one to write reviews, but they have gone above and beyond for me and my pup. Yesterday we were in at a busier time and my dog isn’t always great around other dogs. Noticing my dog and I were both anxious, someone came over and made us feel 100 percent at ease and relaxed, even bringing out a mat and blanket for my dog. Although I wish I had an unlimited vet budget, that’s not the case. They don’t make me feel bad about it and always take the time to walk me through all the different options. They are kind, honest and provide amazing care for my 11 year old dog and I’m so grateful to have found such a great vet.

I can't thank this veterinarian enough for their quick response and exceptional care when my dog had a sudden health emergency. They were able to diagnose the issue promptly and provided life-saving treatment. The entire team worked tirelessly to ensure my dog's well-being. While emergency care can be costly, the value I received was immeasurable. My dog is now recovering, and I'm forever grateful for the quality and compassion provided by this veterinary clinic. It was worth every cent.

Just an honest warning- I don't think their urgent care system works as they explained over the phone. They say they see pets in order of who is most in need of the Vet. We were there from 3:30-10pm. When we finally were seen and they did an ultrasound, my dog was so sick the Vet said she would have hospitalized him if it wasn't a holiday weekend. I saw other dogs come and go before us. I don't know how the front desk determines the order of urgent care.

Unqualified and apathetic. They sent my cat with a CLEAR urethural obstruction home with a simple pain treatment and UTI medication. This cost $500+. It is also 3 days passed and they have yet to send me the records for the pet’s pee test… when she needed immediate surgery. I went to the Los Feliz Small Animal hospital because my cat was still in distress and clearly very very much in need of urgent care and relief. She had not peed in 1 full day. She needed to be immediately admitted to surgery and transferred to MASH as she could have died from kidney issues or burst bladder because of DTLA not taking her condition seriously and sending us home with horrible, next to nothing treatment. Her tests were all high. Her bladder was full and hard as a rock. My cat is still in the hospital after surgery and will be ok but this was an extremely close call. Their negligence could have killed my 3 year old cat! If you care about your animals, never go here.

My recent visit to DTLAvets was a deeply disappointing experience that compelled me to reconsider ever returning or recommending their services. The atmosphere was unwelcoming, and the conduct of the vet during the examination was distressing. I attempted to communicate my concerns in minimal terms, hoping to focus on my pet's care rather than divulge personal details. However, the vet responded dismissively and judgmentally, making passive-aggressive statements and asking redundant, judgmental inquiries. What troubled me more was the stark difference in treatment I observed compared to other pet parents. This discrepancy in care based on non-pet-related factors is unacceptable. Caring for our beloved pets is a sensitive and personal matter, and feeling judged or treated unfairly only added to the distress. As a result, I am deeply hesitant to consider returning or recommending DTLAvets for veterinary services. I hope my experience sparks improvement in their approach to customer care and inclusivity, ensuring that all pet parents receive compassionate and equitable treatment

Huge thanks to all staff including Dr. Coward and Dr. Endo for taking care of my dog. We were traveling and needed an emergency care for our dog when we stopped by in LA. Everyone at DTLA treated us with thorough care and services even when they knew we won't become a long-term client. They were very good at communicating through phone and email regarding wait-time, treatment options, and cost of care. I really appreciated how easy it was to get a hold of a staff on the phone even during the urgent care hours. Pricing were very reasonable/transparent. Finding an ER care for pets is a nightmare- I truly appreciate DTLA for providing much needed care and services in the area. Thank you guys for all you do!
